Judith Faraday is only after one thing—to marry her Naval Officer and enjoy a life full of love. She’s doubtful her dream will ever come true while living as the ward to the dowager duchess. The Sweetest Kiss A Duke Life The Scandalous Brother Sons of Worthington Book 1 edition by Marie Higgins Literature Fiction eBooks
"The Sweetest Kiss" excels in delivering a keenly romantic experience to its readers. Every touch and every love scene between the hero and heroine simmers with passion and conflict as Judith Farady and Trey Worthington fall in love against their past experiences, inner fears, and doubts. Trey is the emobdiment of masculine virility and charm who unwilling finds himself falling in love with Judith. He refuses to accept the idea that love can last. The romance is keenly delicious and masterfully portrayed, and the ending was a GREAT surprise but was highly satisfying. "The Sweetest Kiss" was hard to put down.I love Ms. Higgin's novels and will continue to read her books as they come out. She creates vibrant, colorful characters and clean, but passionate, romance in which her readers may immerse themselves and drift into another realm.

The Sweetest Kiss A Duke Life The Scandalous Brother Sons of Worthington Book 1 edition by Marie Higgins Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
If you are a fan of historical romance, then this book is for you. The character have their flaws but also have their redeeming qualities. Trey is a rogue who from his family's experience doesn't believe in love while Judith is a hopeless romantic. And know you are thinking how are they going to suit right? Well all you have to do is One-Click it and you'll get to read an ending you didn't see coming
Delightful story.
I would have enjoyed the story more had the heroine spent less time crying and the hero's reason for never falling in love made more sense to me. It seemed as though he was doing his best to live up to his father's life style and planned to continue doing so. The other thing that bugged me was those "flipping hands". Please find other ways to express that feeling besides "she flipped her hand". It was a CLEAN read which I enjoy very much. I would recommend this book to younger readers.
Okay, From start to finish it was pretty much the same thing over and over. She thought he was a rake and liked other women to much and wouldn't make a good husband. And he needed to find her a husband, because he would never marry, but couldn't stand the thought of another man touching her .
You really knew how things would go, after the second chapter. If you have nothing but time it's and okay book, excitement and mystery isn't part of this book.
I saw this book was free on and figured, why not? I LOVED this book and was interested right at the beginning. It is a clean romance but plenty of steamy kissing scenes. I can't wait to read the other books in the series.
I enjoyed the premise of the story. It starts out very interesting only to go a little slow going until near the end when the unexpected happens. Well, not really. This is a Romance that takes place in the Regency era. Judith is on her way to meet with Alex in order to elope with him. She is stopped from doing that by Trey, who is the Dowager's son. He had been sent to fetch Judith to The Dowager so that she can have a London Season. Trey and Judith bicker a lot which sort of hides their budding romance. Of course, Judith's secret engagement rears it's ugly head as information is revealed about Alex. From there the story gets interesting and ends on a high note.
After the death of her parents, Judith, almost but not quite old enough to legally manager her money, becomes the ward of the dowager Duchess of Worthington. She resists the duchess's family attempts to bring her out in society, preferring to make her own choices and believing that she will marry soon anyway, to naval officer Alex Cutler.
Trey Worthington, the duchess's son,is charged with the responsibility of looking after Judith, since his older brother is kept at his pregnant wife's side. A rogue, firmly against marriage and his heart set against falling in love, Trey is attracted to Judith from the beginning. Kisses are sweet and temptation follows their every encounter.
It's a nice plot but true Regency's lovers will find Judith's childish and brash actions at the beginning a bit too much for the time period. There is no way that she would have expected not to be left in a guardian's care and young ladies did not have the opportunity to meet prospective spouses unattended.
It's well written, the dialogue is fun and, once Judith settles in, the story is very enjoyable. I look forward to the next books in the series.
