Consequences Freewill Book 2 eBook Elyse Draper
Just as surely that we have Freewill, there are Consequences to our actions. So goes the second installment in the Freewill trilogy.Christopher is living a life of isolation after his time in Vegas. Ellie is trying to find her way in the brand new afterlife. Both are living the consequences of their actions. But that is not all bad. There is a lot of spiritual growth going on and new characters have arrived to keep the plot moving along. One of my personal favorites is Artemis the beautiful wolf daughter of Lune.
It is hard to review without giving away plot line. Suffice it to say, this was an enjoyable continuation of a great story.

Consequences Freewill Book 2 eBook Elyse Draper Reviews
I would like to thank the author for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review. I was really torn about how to rate this one, but I am going to have to stick with 3 stars.
Elyse Draper is very good at describing this world she has created. It is different from anything I have read before. This book covers A big time period, almost two years I think. Most of it was the characters talking to each other about what they had been through in the past year. I would have preferred the story being written more in present tense of what James went through after the end of Freewill. Instead we learned about it as he told his new friend Micheal. Ellie's story was told a lot the same way. She told of her travels and experiences to her new friend and mentor, Cassandra. It was an interesting way to write the book, and show the relationship between the new characters. And new evil characters were brought in. Echidna gives me the chills. She is so creepy. Lune, Christopher's dog, has a new member join his family, and this addition added a lot to the story, and I am sure will be in on the action in the last book.
The end of this came as quite a shock to me, and I am sorry to say I am not a fan of what occured. It is still giving me the heebie geebies. I saw it coming before the last page, but it is quite a new avenue to take this series on. Very heartbreaking, I think is how I feel. Not sure how much more Christopher can handle in his life, and I just feel like the kid deserves a break and something to smile about longer, and not just in passing.
I really loved the first book, but this one felt too long and a little disappointing. I have high hopes for book 3, Vindication, to hopefully bring me a happy ending I long for.
3 - 3.5 stars
I've been sitting in front of my laptop for almost half an hour and don't have a clue of what to write about this book -.- So here it goes!
----- First of all, I want to thank Elyse for giving me the chance to read this trilogy in exchange for an honest review. ----------
After ending up with my eyes wide open and my jaw almost touching the floor when I finished "Freewill" (Freewill #1), which I loved , I was expecting more.
I liked this one but didn't blew me away.
About the cover mmm.... interesting, a little scary maybe.
About the characters
Here, we meet new characters like Michael, Ursa, Artemis and Cass. Also we spend a nice part of the book trying to guess who "SHE" is and of course we still have Chris, Ellie and the incredibly amazing and smart Lune. (I love that dog! XD)
Michael is a great addittion and I believe it really helps Chris to stay on track, Ursa and Artemis are lovely, I can totally see them interacting with the guys.
Cass is a little too stubborn and I don't like the hatred against the "Mortos" (humans) but I like her anyway.
Ellie's changed a lot since Freewill and in a good way! You'll see.
And Chris... well he is definitely suffering the Consequences of his acts in the previous book. That's mainly what his story is about.
Plot and writing
I wanted this book to be as dynamic and vibrant as the first. But didn't feel that. It is a very good book but even being beautifully written didn't captivate me enough.
It begins from Christopher's point of view. We learn what happened to James, V and Ann and how that makes Chris feel. It starts wonderfully, but suddenly it loses strenght and becomes a bit tedious.
It soon regains strenght once we move to Ellie's POV and there we meet Cassandra and learn about the Ho Thanatos and the Daimonion To.
This book has a way more complex plot than the previous one because we have items and myths from several cultures and many creatures (we go from Greek mythology to wolves packs to Faeries) I believe there are a few loose ends (sometimes I got confused) but of course we still have book 3 to solve that.
Nonetheless I am looking forward to reading the end of this trilogy and see how the story finishes for the characters )
