The Fiction River anthology series spans all genres. One can be science fiction, another urban fantasy or crime. This edition includes romance stories and almost every single one worked perfectly for me.
But even readers who don't typically consider romance may really enjoy this collection. If you like tales of the fantastic, well-written stories with gripping characters, you should consider this volume because while the heart of the story is romance, there are ghosts and time travel and all other kinds of good paranormal stuff. And some great writing.
Also, in my opinion, it doesn't need to be Christmas to read a great story set during that time of year. This anthology grabbed me with the very first story and held me to the end.
Highly recommended.
This is a wonderful anthology. Call it holiday stories, or ghost stories, or romances - but none of those really describes the breadth of the offering. Yes, they all take place at Christmas; yes, they all include a ghost; and yes, they all have happy endings. Oh, and yes, they are all wonderfully written, with great characters. But other than that - well, each story is itself fully realized and stands on its own quite well. They range from western to contemporary to military to historical and all are just wonderful. Give them a try, I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.
I was unaware these were romance novels with a paranormal twist. I don’t read anthologies,. By the time I get into the stories, they’re over. This set, however, intrigued me because of the variety of stories offered. I’m glad I did and I highly recommend this Christmas anthology.
